PROCEDURE AND WOUND FEES

Please be advised that as of the 1st March, 2023 there will be a dressing fee applied for all dressings for patients. This is an “out of pocket” fee which Medicare will not cover.

The cost of this will be determined by the extent of the dressing but will range from between $10 and $50.

Removal of lesions and other procedures will incur an “out of pocket” fee of $80 and must be paid on the day of the procedure.

COVID VACCINATIONS

All adults are eligible to get a booster dose if it’s been 6 months or longer since their last COVID-19 booster or confirmed infection (whichever is most recent) for additional protection against severe illness from COVID.

This is particularly recommended for people at higher risk of severe illness, including:

• everyone 65 years and over

• everyone 18 years and over with medical comorbidities, disability or complex health needs.

Children and young people aged 5 to 17 years can get a booster dose if:

• they have a health condition that put them at risk of severe illness, and

• if it’s been 6 months since their last dose or COVID-19 infection.

FLU VACCINATIONS

We are currently taking bookings for Flu vaccinations.

Government funded fluvax is provided free of charge to the following cohort of patients.

• All patients over the age of 65

• Children under the age of 5

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

• Pregnant women

• Patients with certain chronic conditions. (Your Doctor can ascertain if you are eligible)
